Regent Middle East Hosts an Impressive BTEC Workshop for GEMS The Westminster School Students

At Regent Middle East, we take pride in creating transformative learning experiences that inspire students to explore their academic and professional potential. On the 4th of December, we had the privilege of hosting a BTEC workshop for 36 students (Year 12) from GEMS The Westminster School (GEMS TWS), along with their teachers, Ms. Linz and Ms. Afza Khalid. The workshop was designed for students studying BTEC IT and BTEC Business. It gave them a chance to see the exciting opportunities available at Regent Middle East. Both the students and teachers were very impressed with the event.

A Warm Welcome and an Exciting Start

Jesmitha and Haifa, part of our team, warmly welcomed everyone at the campus entrance. The students were excited to sign in and get ready for the day. Our goal was to provide an environment that will make students curious and excited about the world-class education Regent Middle East offers.

An Ice-Breaking Activity, led by Firoz in the auditorium, set the tone for the day. This lively session brought together students and our team, creating a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. The energy in the room was catching, and the students’ enthusiasm hinted at the incredible day ahead.

Showcasing Regent Middle East: A Center of Excellence

During the Introduction to Regent session, Gauri impressed the students with a detailed presentation on our institution’s unique blend of academic rigor, modern facilities, and industry-focused education. The students were excited by the extensive opportunities available at Regent Middle East, from advanced programs to pathways that lead to global career success.

Parents and students often seek institutions that combine quality with real-world application, and this session showed how Regent Middle East stands apart in delivering both. Many students expressed how inspired they felt, and some were already exploring how they could be part of the Regent community.

An Immersive Campus Tour

A highlight of the day was the Campus Tour, guided by Gigi and Rajesh. The students explored our advanced classrooms, interactive labs, and teamwork areas. Our dedicated facilities for business students, such as startup support centers, entrepreneurship programs, and an advanced library, left the students and teachers in awe.

The tour wasn’t just a walk-through—it was an experience. Students were encouraged to ask questions and imagine themselves as part of the Regent Middle East journey. From IT labs equipped with the latest technology to business hubs designed to grow entrepreneurial talents, the campus showed what modern education can be.

Interactive IT & Business Workshops

The IT and Business Workshops, which were conducted by Jinju and Athira, were the core of the event. These sessions made academic concepts more practical and entertaining.

• Students from IT came to know of such new concepts as coding, data, and cybersecurity. They tackled projects that mirrored real-life scenarios.
• Business students engaged in projects on marketing, finance and leadership as well. They also did role-playing games where they pretended to be business leaders solving problems.

The students enjoyed the more practical side of things. They were very happy with the amount of knowledge they gained and the chance to use what they learned in practical ways. Many said that these sessions were even better than they expected and helped them understand their career goals better.

Relaxation and Networking Time

During a well-organized break by our hospitality team, students had a chance to chat casually with each other. They relaxed in the student lounge, enjoying tasty snacks and drinks while sharing thoughts and stories with their classmates and Regent staff. This break also provided teachers the chance to connect with our faculty members and discuss future collaborations.

A Perfect Conclusion to an Unforgettable Day

The workshop ended on a high note with a Thank You Note and Send-Off from Michelle in the auditorium. The students, clearly inspired by the day’s events, expressed their excitement and gratitude. Their teachers, Ms. Linz and Ms. Afza Khalid, praised the workshop for its planning, engaging content, and lasting impact on their students.

As a parting gift, the students received Regent-branded goodies and informational brochures, ensuring they left with more than just memories—they took home the inspiration to dream big and pursue their goals with confidence.
