About this course
The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing aims to enhance your career and employability in the areas of Computing by developing a critical awareness and industry-centric skills required to succeed in the field.
This diploma is equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, allowing students seamless transfers to a top-up degree with over 200 universities worldwide.
This course focuses on building current skills in specialist technical software development and allows students to develop up-to-date knowledge in programming and systems development. You will learn how to plan, design and implement a range of different software solutions using an array of computing and programming tools used in the market today.
On successful completion of the course, students will have explored the nature of cybercrime and cyber threat actors; investigated the roles and responsibilities in relation to information assurance; assessed the threats to and vulnerabilities in, ICT infrastructure; and investigated strategic responses to cyber security threats.

Entry requirements
- 55% overall grades for CBSE, American, Filipino and Thanaweya Amma in Grade 12 exams
- IB minimum of 24 points
- Two C`s at AS-Level
- Two D`s at A-Level
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma with a minimum pass profile
- Work experience with two references
- Additional English language qualifications/tests may be required if language of above qualifications was not English
