Step-by-Step Guide to Getting a Student Visa

STEP 1: Apply for an Entry Permit

To begin the process, you’ll need to submit an application for a student visa. Follow these steps:

Documents Needed (For Students Outside UAE):

• Valid passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application)
• Completed and signed Visa Application Form.
• TECOM undertaking letter (provided by Regent Institute Middle East)
• Proof of payment for the current trimester tuition fees and visa processing fees
• 1 passport-sized color photograph with a white background
• NOC from parent/guardian. (Template provided by Regent Institute Middle East)

Documents Needed (For Students Inside UAE):

• Visa cancellation paper (if you have a previous UAE visa)
• Old Emirates ID copy (if applicable)
• Valid passport (with at least 6 months validity)
• Completed and signed Visa Application Form
• TECOM undertaking letter
• Proof of payment for the tuition fees and visa processing fees
• 1 passport-sized color photograph with a white background
• NOC from parent/guardian. (Template provided by Regent Institute Middle East)

Note: All documents must be scanned in full color.

STEP 2: Visa Processing Time & Final Approval

The visa process typically takes 10–12 working days to complete, but it could take longer (up to a month or more) depending on the circumstances or security checks.

Some students may be asked to submit additional documents, such as an attested birth certificate or translated documents.

STEP 3: Medical Examination & Emirates ID

After your Arrival in UAE, you’ll need to:

• Complete a medical examination at a Ministry of Health-approved hospital or clinic in the UAE. The specific hospital or clinic will be mentioned by Regent Middle East.
• After the medical examination and biometrics is completed, the Emirates ID will be processed, and you will be notified when it’s ready (usually within 15 - 20 working days).

STEP 4: Health Insurance

Health insurance is compulsory for all student visa holders in the UAE. It’s important to have medical coverage for the duration of your student visa.

Regent Institute Middle East offers a group medical insurance scheme, which is mandatory for visa-sponsored students.

The insurance covers you for a wide range of medical expenses, including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care in hospitals and clinics across the UAE.

If you are not visa-sponsored, you can apply for the health insurance plan through Regent Institute Middle East or arrange your own.
