The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Information Technology (IT) provides students with useful foundations for a successful career in computing technology. Equivalent to 3 ‘A’ levels, this course has been developed as a gateway to the IT sector.
Students gain an understanding of computer software, web development, server, cloud, database, maintenance and networking.
- Equip students with knowledge, understanding and skills for success in employment in various fields of Information Technology (IT).
- Provide opportunities for students to enter, or progress in, employment in the IT sector or progress to higher education qualifications in over 200+ universities globally.
- Develop the student’s ability in the computing industry through effective practical and technical training, developing fundamental understanding of the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the programme.
- Develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for enabling students to make an immediate contribution to employment
- Minimum 3 D`s in IGCSE’s.
- Grade 10 or equivalent in any curriculum with a minimum of 50%
- BTEC Level 2 in a related field with a minimum pass profile.
- Other related BTEC Level 2 qualifications
- Work experience with two references.
- Additional English language qualifications/tests may apply where the medium of teaching is not English.
