On 21 March 2025, Regent Middle East brought the business world into the classroom through an exciting Shark Tank-style event as part of Unit 19 of the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business. This hands-on activity gave students the opportunity to pitch their innovative business ideas in front of a panel of “sharks”—a practical and immersive learning experience that reflects the real world of entrepreneurship.

Among the passionate participants was Albey John, a student of the Pearson BTEC programme, who presented a compelling business pitch for his professional stock market trading agency. Albey impressed the sharks by combining his enthusiasm for the stock market with a well-researched business plan.
His presentation covered everything from start-up costs and business analytics to projected profits and customer acquisition strategies. Albey also laid out a sharp marketing and sales plan, emphasising his Unique Selling Proposition (USP)—a personalised approach to stock trading support for modern investors.
The sharks were not only impressed by the numbers but also by Albey’s confidence, clarity, and command over his business model. A deal was made, celebrating his dedication and validating the power of practical education.
This event highlighted what makes Pearson BTEC at Regent Middle East so impactful—a curriculum designed around real-world application, where students don’t just learn about business, they practise business.
